Introduction

The School of Vocational and Technical Education was established in 1998. It is the base of the third industry teacher training of Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Education and the first key base of the vocational education teachers training of Ministry Education. And it has Master's degree conferment rights to secondary vocational school teachers who tend to go for in-service study.

There are six specialties, namely, accounting, tourism management, business administration, food science, industrial economics, and computer application technology having Master's Degree conferment rights to secondary vocational school teachers who tend to go for in-service study. In addition, there are five undergraduate specialties, namely, tourism management and serviceeducation, cooking and nutrition education, financial accounting education, marketing education, and software engineering education.

Sharing Common teaching resources with other schools, it has tremendous teacher resources and excellent conditions. It insists on the notions that the school will develop with high quality and create the first-class one with unique feature. Obeying the school motto, “Seeking the truth to the highest good, cultivating virtue to respect knowledge and talents”, we develop the ideas of higher vocational education, explore the law of development actively, and try best to create the talents training mode, namely,“ the school cooperates with enterprises, and work integrates with learning” in order to highlight vocational skills training, and constantly improve the quality. Within more than ten years, four thousand graduates have made great contribution to the social development and economic construction.

Major Introduction

Marketing Management

Objectives: The specialty meets the needs of marketing professional education, cultivates qualified teachers or teaching management talents, who will develop well in morality, intelligence and physical fitness, and have the professional knowledge systematically. The students will acquaint with operation process of business marketing management, master marketing plan, market development, and management technique and skills. In the future, the students will become teachers in relevant specialty or professional teaching management talents in the area of secondary vocation education.

Discipline characteristics: By studying, the students will master the basic principles of economics, management and marketing of the basic theory of knowledge; the students can be familiar with the enterprise marketing management of the basic standard and the main control connection, learn to do enterprise planning, marketing management and master the basic skills of selling products; the students will have good language skills and writing, listening and speaking ability, and can translate foreign language documents more skillfully; the students will master the electronic computer knowledge and the main office software operation. Those who meet the teacher qualification, after applying, can obtain teaching qualifications for secondary vocational school.

Tourism Management

Objectives: The specialty meets the needs of tourism professional education, cultivates qualified teachers or teaching talents, who will develop well in morality, intelligence and physical fitness. The students should learn the professional and relevant theory systematically, master the professional skills and have basic quality engaging in professional education. The students can engage in technology and management work in the tourism enterprises, and engage in tourism and service vocation education work in all kinds of secondary, senior vocational schools and training department.

The students will acquaint with operation process of business marketing management, master marketing plan, market development, and management technique and skills. In the future, the students will become teachers in relevant specialty or professional teaching management talents in the area of secondary vocation education.

Discipline characteristics: By studying, the students will master the basic theory, knowledge and skills; Combining with the characteristics of the tourism industry, the students will undergo the professional skill training engaging in management and technology in the tourism enterprises, including both Chinese and western food service program, service skill and technique of tour guide, and get the ability to work with foreign languages. The students will receive the basic professional techniques and ability to work in this major or adjacent majors. Those who meet the teacher qualification, after applying, can obtain qualifications for teachers of the secondary vocational schools.

Cooking and Nutrition Education

Objectives: The specialty meets the needs of the development of Chinese cuisine Vocational education, cultivates qualified teachers or talents with relevant techniques and management, who will develop well in morality, intelligence and physical fitness, and have the professional knowledge systematically. The students will master the professional knowledge, technique and skills. They will have the basic quality engaging in vocation education work. The students can engage in culinary vocational education work in all kinds of secondary, senior vocational schools and training department.

Discipline characteristics: By studying, students will grasp Chinese cooking technology systematically, the basic theory of basic knowledge and the skill of nutrition and food hygiene and education work; They will grasp the basic theory and technology of both Chinese and western food cooking, understand the basic theory in food management knowledge, grasp the Chinese restaurant and western restaurant management and the specific kitchen management cycle, as well as master the vocational skills and qualities such as party design and the nutrition catering. Those who meet the teacher qualification, after applying, can obtain qualifications for teachers of the secondary vocational schools.

Accounting

Objectives: The specialty meets the needs of the 21st century economic construction and the development of the society, cultivates qualified accounting teachers or talents working in enterprises or government institutions, who will develop well in morality, intelligence and physical fitness, and have the knowledge and ability to engage in management, economy, law and accounting work.

Discipline characteristics: By studying and practicing, the students can master accounting principle, basic skills and methods, and the knowledge of modern enterprise management. They will have higher business level and ability to analyze and solve problems. During the period of school students, in accordance with relevant provisions, may participate in the examination for the qualifications of certified public accountants, primary accountant, accountant from job seniority card and relevant examinations of qualification certificate after studying systematically. Those who meet the teacher qualification, after applying, can obtain qualifications for teachers of the secondary vocational schools.
