Conference on the First World Contest of American Football for 

College Students Held Successfully

On the evening of Nov.16th, Professor Qu Zhentao, Secretary of the Party Committee, made an academic report on the First World Contest of American Football for College Students in the Conference Hall of the Administration Building.

The conference centered on the participation of Tiger (the football team of University of Commerce) in the First World University Championship of American Football held in Sweden. At the conference Mr. Ken Li, Head of China AFU; Professor Han Guogang, Dean of P.E. School; Associate Professor Tao Baosheng, the Vice Dean of Physical Education School gave the speeches on “Football Rushes into Campus” ,“the Organization of the Championships” and on the skills and strategies of American football. Furthermore, contestants aired their opinions about their participation in the contest.

Professor Qv. presided over the conference and gave conclusive remarks. He pointed out that both of our faculties and students should take advantage of this specialty, and find out the opportunities arising from it and make it thrive with our own features. The speech was serious and also humorous, which left guiding significance for the work and life of the faculties and students of our university.
